Dehydrating food has been a wonderful venture and solves multiple food prep issues for me. First, it requires very minimal labor at most I wash, chop, maybe steam my items before dehydrating. Second, most foods can be stored at room temperature for prolonged periods of time saving freezer space and excess weight as well as labor. This also makes it great for traveling! Third, it lets me have a variety of food year around while saving money.
